Card Game Tournament Round-Up |
Why get bored this holiday? You can actually organize a tournament of card games.
In fact, you can also earn some money which you can simply use in
charity. Seasoned players will love to have a poker tournament, but if
you want it just for fun, you can ask people to sign-up for the game
and ask for their preferences. But before you do anything, you should
determine the time taken to play an average game. You should also
choose the number of competitors. This will help you to have a proper
format of the game.
You can actually go for single-round elimination in case the number of
competitors is small. In any card game tournament, if the number of
competitors is huge, the players will be paired randomly and they will
go for 1-1 competition. The process will go on, till there will be one
player left. He or she will be declared the champion. If you plan to
have card game tournament betting, you can go for the
double-elimination format. This will be very much similar to the
single-elimination format, but the players will not be dropped unless
they have two losses.
In fact, just after the first round, the tournament will be divided
into "all wins" and "one loss". You can continue with the game until
there will be zero-loss player and one-loss player. Both of them will
play for the championship title. Now the one-loss player will go on to
defeat the no-loss player at least twice to win. If you want to have a
blackjack tournament, you can actually go for a Swiss-style format.
There you will have uneven number of players. And in this format all
players are allowed to opt for multiple rounds of competition. |
